D’s for Deafness as our first hour focuses on what we got up to at BSL Fest, which was hosted this year in Southampton and took place from Tuesday 22 April till Saturday 26th April. We watched a primarily signed film, heard about ways that deaf people can use technology and also got to experience some live British Sign Language (BSL) performances. This then linked to this past Saturdays Doctor Who episode, where the show Incorporated BSL for the third ever episode. What did we think about the episode? Did we feel like having a disabled character was handled well?
