14 year old takes SCMC by storm

The 14 year old pop singer Eva Nicole sky rocketed to the top of the South coast music charts with her song ‘Broken’ and has now been in number one spot for the third week in a row.

The young singer songwriter from Fareham has dazzled listeners with her first ever single, which has shown incredible talent and potential.

Singing since the age of 12, This musician holds inspiration from singers and songwriters such as Billy Eilish, Adele and Amy Winehouse, showing these influences within her work.

The single ‘Broken’ released in November 2024, holds incredible emotion and passion as it refers to a incredibly hard time in Eva’s life. 

Stemming back to a time were her older brothers addiction had hard effects on her family the song describes how this influences Eva when finding her place in secondary school.

Eva describes this time in her life as a ‘difficult struggle’ where she was ‘overcome with emotion and feeling broken’.

This songs roots are a matter that many people out there can relate to, the feeling of being broken and lost can be horrible however songs like ‘Broken’ can bring a healing to some who believe they are alone in these issues.

Broken is a wonderful example of turning a difficult struggle into something beautiful.

The song seems to have brought people together and has become something the south coast have really rallied behind in its message. 

The singer has high hopes to join ‘Brit School’ in Croydon when she turns 16 and with 2 songs in the making soon to be released plus an EP due for release in March 2025.
