The Albert Rouges have skyrocketed to the top of the South Coast Music charts with the hit Midlife Crisis.
The Albert Rouges, indie rock Band from Southsea, have recently released there new song Midlife Crisis which has received tremendous support and voted No.1 on the South Coast Music Chart, consequently being the first in 2025.
The band of 6 vintage rockers, who met in 2019 through their kids and love of music in went on to form the Albert Rouges in 2022.
Matt Ball (lead guitarist and backing vocals) described the band as: “carefree, catchy and uplifting with a gnarled, grimy edge that’s firmly grounded in their collective experience as married fathers in their forties”
The song midlife crisis itself has a back story stemming from when they formed their band back in 2022, as Matt says: “As you can imagine when 6 guys in their forties form a band, there was lots of talk about whether this is some cringey and elaborate mid-life crisis. Whereas we don’t care we just love playing rock music and having a good time and that really sums up the song. We think the songs a banger and we hope you like it!”
These six men turned what some people thought to be a mid life crisis into something which is quite frankly inspirational and an amazing foundation for their band.
With the band planning to release more songs over the coming months, while also looking to play more gigs around Portsmouth, we’re sure we’ll be seeing much more of them in the future.
