Caity Baser
The latest pop sensation to come from Southampton since Foxes, Caity Baser has had an electrifying 2022.
After the release of her debut album in 2021, Caity has followed up with a quartet of single releases, each continuing to grow on the success of the last. Her final release of the year, 'Kiss You' received it's first play on Radio 1 and she was later selected as Radio 1's Future Artist of the Month.
On this follows on from sensational performances at Reading & Leeds festival on the BBC Introducing stage and at The Ageas Bowl during The Hundred.
Saint Harison
Southampton's newest rising star is singer-songwriter Saint Harison who had quite the end to 2022.
Having received praise from the likes of Justin Bieber and Timbaland on TikTok, Saint released his debut track 'why didn’t you call???'.
As introductions to the music scene go, there hasn't been many better. 'why didn’t you call???' was selected as BBC 1extra's track of the week and also featured on Radio 1's Future Pop.
Next year promises to build on Saint's incredible early success as he continues his march on the UK music scene.
Bear Like X Man Like Key
While we may not be rooting for them on the pitch, it is difficult not to root for Spurs off it.
That's after they selected Southampton artists Bear Like and Man Like Key and their track 'All Possible Now' as the track for their kit launch video for this season. The track was originally released at the end of 2021 as part of The Sounds of Southampton Volume 2 album.
It's feature in the Spurs kit release video shows that the Southampton duo and the Southampton music scene in general is far from a fresh find, but has been producing top quality tracks for a number of years.
Have you got a song you thing should be played on Southampton's Voice FM?
