DISNEY’S ALADDIN BRINGS GIANT MAGIC LAMP TO WESTQUAY PRIOR TO SHOW'S VISIT TO MAYFLOWER THEARE IN SEPTEMBER

Disney’s ALADDIN is celebrating its upcoming run of its highly acclaimed show at Mayflower Theatre, Southampton by installing a giant magic lamp at Westquay in Southampton.

The giant golden lamp (the size of a small car) will be at the shopping centre on Level 2 from Monday 5 to Sunday 18 August 2024. Shoppers will be able to pose for selfies with the magic lamp and enter a competition to see the show in Southampton by scanning the QR code on the lamp.

Andy Jackson, Destination Director at Westquay, said: “We’re really excited to bring a touch of Disney magic to Southampton with Aladdin’s lamp. Collaborating with local artists and creative partners is just one of the innovative ways we are evolving Westquay, from a place where people come only to shop, to a ‘multi-purpose destination’, offering a real mix of entertainment, leisure and social experiences. Our cultural events programme will marry art, music and sport like never before, and this is just a taste of what is to come.”
