Southampton community radio station, Voice FM, is delighted to announce that Dr Andrew Lumsden has joined the station as the presenter of its first ever classical music programme, ‘Classics at 1’.
Andrew, formerly the Director of Music at Winchester Cathedral, brings a wealth of experience and deep passion for classical music to the airwaves. A distinguished organist with a long career in choral and orchestral conducting, he now takes on a new challenge - bringing classical music to a
wider audience across Southampton and the South Coast.
Speaking about his new role, Andrew says: ‘It’s a real privilege to be part of the Voice FM team and to share my love of classical music with
listeners. Classical music has the power to inspire and uplift, and I’m looking forward to bringing a fresh and engaging approach to the genre.’

‘Classics at 1’ airs every Tuesday at 1 pm and features a carefully curated selection of music, from timeless masterpieces to film and video game soundtracks, along with insightful commentary from Andrew.
