The ‘Silent army’ of 20-30,000 Family members and Friends though-out Southampton provide millions of pounds worth of unpaid care every year for those in need.
The Young Carers of Southampton widely go unacknowledged for the hard work and dedication they put into the amazing work they achieve.
It is always a wonderful moment when something comes along that a positive celebration of the achievements and strength our children and young people display.
The Young Carers awards 2025 allows you the public, to nominate a young carer who's gone above and beyond for their community.
These could be local community workers, school colleagues, friends or family who you believe have done wonders for people in need.
These Young carers who never ask for recognition, deserve the chance to celebrate the hard work they do daily for people in need.
Southampton city council are delighted to host the hopefully annual event.
Nominations close on Friday the 28th of February, with the awards ceremony taking place on Thursday the 13th of March.
These unique awards celebrate the city’s wonderful Young Carers and gives them a chance to shine and show why they are often some of the most amazing people in our communities.
