Our aim is to support every volunteer to progress, learn and enhance their skills in radio and unlock their full potential. We are an equal opportunities organisation which means that we implement a policy to ensure that everybody is treated in the same way, regardless of their background, race, gender, sexuality or other factors. Our volunteers are a mix of local people and students. Past volunteers have gone on to work for Global, Celador, the BBC, ITV and other large media corporations across Europe. We currently have over 50 volunteers.
Voice FM is committed to supporting the local music scene, so we regularly feature local and home-grown artists on our playlist. The platform and support that we offer artists helps to increase their fanbases; some have even attained national airplay on radio stations such as BBC Radio 1. This level of success is the result of our dedication to unearth and expose original local music to keep us ahead of the latest local trends. Voice FM is committed to developing a diverse and inclusive radio station with shows featuring the whole spectrum of genres including Pop, Rock, Dance, Indie, Urban, and Soul.
There are numerous ways in which local businesses and organisations can work with Voice FM including sponsorship, advertising or donations. Sponsoring a specialist show is a great way to partner your brand with a particular style of music or content that you wish to be known for. Our enthusiastic and dedicated presenters will work with you to feature your company or brand within their show every week. Sponsoring a day-time show will expose your brand to the largest audience, aged predominantly between 14 to 34 years old, who want to be entertained and love new music.
