Since 1946 Silverlake have been giving cars and their parts a second life, and providing a valuable service for the community and in fact keeping many cars away from the scrap heap by selling spare parts.
A couple of weeks ago there was a story in the Daily Echo about residents near the Silverlake Automotive Recycling centre in Shedfield, Hampshire, raising concerns about the units proposed expansion.
This week we visited Silverlake and had a guided tour with MD Allen Prebble to discover more about the plant that their plans.
